More Exposé on the Pageant

The Big Picture;
The Miss Poetonic- Recite Your Poem Pageant is a unique concept that's crafted to test and enhance cognition via poetic word assimilation.
It is expressed in the writing/memorisation/recitation of poetic verse.

OBJECTIVES:
* To expose the potential for creativity in young girls.

* To evaluate the intelligence quotient in young girls, on a given topic.

* To reveal the beauty of poetry and its ability to convey logic/emotion in words(poetry is currently trending globally).

* To diversify from the norm of conventional pageantry, which focuses more on looks than the content of an individual.

* Poetry promotes soberness and curiosity which are catalysts for worthy innovations/inventions.

IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY:

There are 3 dimensions, to the implementation of R.Y.P.P;

Intra-locality: involving students in schools within a particular area in a state.

Inter-locality: involving students in schools situated at different areas within a state.

Inter-state: involving students in schools situated in different states of the federation.

We are kicking off with the intra-locality pageant.
The competition is amongst 10 secondary schools within a particular area of a state.
We're kicking off with schools on Victoria Island and environs:
Dowen College.
Ocean Crest.
Meadow Hall Schools.
Edgewood College.
Lagoon Secondary School.
Lekki British College.
Bridgehouse College.
New Hall Int'l School.
Keystone College.
Adrao Intl School.

Contestants will be judged on the accurate delivery of the verses memorized, as well as poise and diction.

Demography:
Female Urban secondary school  students.
14-16.
